What is the contract we sign with ActExposed.com?
There isn’t one! We act as your online Agent, focusing our skills, talents, connections and money to help you get to where you want to go! All other recording or promotional programs will have you sign an agreement or be bound by certain rules upon registration. Act Exposed will impose no such limitations or liabilities to your artistry or own proprietorship or copyright material of any kind pertaining to your Act. You are the owners of your material. The only thing we keep is the Masters to any of your recordings done with us. We understand and honor the importance of Artistic Freedom!
Can we buy Shares in our own band?
Most certainly! Many members purchase shares in their own band, as it is comparable to putting money toward your usual independent CD recording budget. But unlike funding your CD entirely yourselves and then hoping you have fans that will purchase your recording, you will have a guaranteed audience… your Groupies! The downside of course, if you buy all your shares, is you don’t know if you have any fans that believe in you.
Will we get a discount for buying our own shares?
No. The shares are set at $20 each and there are 2,500 shares available. This way we can all help to raise the $50K for your project. If we gave out discounts then after the 2,500 shares were purchased you wouldn’t have enough to pay for the recording, marketing, distribution etc.
Do we receive any of the $50K?
No. The money raised is a specifically allocated to the process of making a CD or producing merchandise or promoting a tour or whatever plans you have for your most favorable next step. We use industry professionals at each stage to ensure the money is spent wisely and efficiently to help take your Act to the top!
How many times can we raise the $50K?
As long as you stay with ActExposed.com and continue to generate your fan base and they purchase shares you can continue indefinitely! We actually recommend using ActExposed.com for your entire musical journey, as there is no reason to sign with a record company when you are having such a successful career!
What happens if the band breaks up before we reach $50K?
Any monies raised will stay with ActExposed.com and then be re-assigned by your fans to other bands they wish to support. Or if you are able to reform in some capacity then let your fans know and let us know and we will try to keep your account intact!
What if our fans don’t like any other bands?
With 1500 Acts to choose from we would find it hard to believe there is no other band that your fans would like. If however you form a new band from the ashes of the old band and want this band to pick up where the old band finished then whoever is the band administrator should make this clear to your legion of fans… let them know what is going on!
Are PMC like other Groupies?
Yes. PMC reserves the right to move their shares to any band of their choice at any time just the same as any other Groupie. It would be an extreme situation to warrant it but if a band is not actively promoting themselves and generating new groupies then after a period of time and a review process PMC may choose to allocate their shares to a more deserving Act. However, ActExposed.com works with each of our members on a one-to-one basis and will endeavor to help them in every capacity, to see they do not waste their time, talent or membership privileges.
Can an Act’s membership be cancelled?
Yes. Again this would have to be an extreme case where an Act was blatantly abusing their membership rights and privileges. No Act will be removed without warning and due process. All we ask is that each Act respect the rights and privileges of membership and take their presence on ActEposed.com as conscientiously as any professional should.
